In Scottish lore, Ly Erg are sometimes found on roads near water. He challenges others to combat when he raises his blood-stained right hand; Lham Dearg means "red hand." He is mistaken for a soldier as he wears a soldier's uniform.

A Lham Dearg and a Slime are the first enemies battled as part of the combat tutorial during Flynn's training exercises. Lham Dearg continues to appear throughout the 1st and 2nd stratums of Naraku. He can teach Flynn the Gram Slice and Critical Wave skills through his Demon Whisper.

Lham Dearg appears in Shinjuku in the west entrance, west entrance buildings and government office plaza areas. He can teach the Power Punch and Critical Wave skills through his Demon Whisper. Lham Dhearg receives a moderate bonus from learning Physical skills.
