Lethe Axe is a weapon in the series.
History[]
Lethe, also known as Lemosyne and Ameles potamos ("river of unmindfulness"), is the river of forgetfulness in the Underworld in Greek mythology. The Lethe flows around the cave of Hypnos and through the Underworld, and anyone who drinks from it loses their memories. Lethe is also the name of the Greek spirit of forgetfulness and oblivion. There are four other rivers encircling Hades: the Styx, Phlegethon, Acheron and Cocytus.
Lethe appears in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, flowing down from Purgatory into Hell to be frozen in the ice around Satan.
Lethe also makes an appearance in John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost.
In Classical Greek, the word lethe literally means "oblivion", "forgetfulness", or "concealment." It is related to the Greek word for "truth", aletheia, which literally means "un-forgetfulness" or "un-concealment."
