Design

Laughing Table is designed after The Magician, the first Major Arcana card in most traditional Tarot decks. The cup, sword, wand, and pentacle floating above Laughing Table, similar to The Magician's design, represent the four suits of the Minor Arcana.

Profile

Persona 3

Laughing Table first appears on the monorail during the first Full Moon Operation, impeding the party's progress as they try to reach Arcana Priestess at the front of the train.

They will later appear as normal enemies in the lower half of the Arqa Block in Tartarus. They are encountered yet again within Cocytus of the Abyss of Time.

Persona 4 / Golden

Laughing Table appears on Floors 5 through 7 of Yukiko's Castle within the Midnight Channel. When defeated, it may drop Magic Cross. Selling four Magic Crosses at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Charm Robe female armor in the shop, which is the best armor available to Chie during this time.

The Laughing Table will later play a part in Quest #7: Desk Refurbishing. Upon talking to the model salesman's daughter on the second floor of the Practice Building, she will ask for a Fitting Board. If the request is accepted, Laughing Table will drop the Fitting Boards until the quest is completed.

In Golden, Laughing Table appears on Floors 4 through 6 of Yukiko's Castle. It loses its immunities but instead resists electricity. It has single-target and multi-target low-level electric spells, Evil Smile, and Rakukaja. It may also drop Iolite for trade at Shiroku Pub.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Laughing Table appears in Chapters 1 and 2 of You in Wonderland. When defeated, it may drop Desk Piece and Desk Leg. Desk Piece is used to create the Nagawakizashi for the P3 hero, and the Iai Katana for Junpei and the P4 hero. Desk Leg is used to create the Mewling Claw for Teddie.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

Laughing Table appears throughout the first Theater, Kamoshidaman. It attacks with Physical skills and may increase its accuracy and evasion with Sukukaja. When defeated, it may drop Table Jewel and Table Wood. Table Wood is used to create the Light Knife for the P5 hero, and the Unmarked Katana for Yusuke Kitagawa. Table Jewel is used to create the Sleep Sling for Morgana, and the Zanbato for Yusuke.
