Ksitigarbha is a demon in the series.
History[]
Kṣitigarbha is a boddhisattva primarily revered in East Asian Buddhism. He is known for his vow to take responsibility for the instruction of all beings in the six worlds between the death of Gautama Buddha and the rise of Maitreya, as well as a vow not to achieve buddhahood until all of the hells are emptied. As a result, he is often known as the boddhisattva of hell-beings.
In Japan, he is known as Jizō or Ojizō-sama, and worshipped as a protector of children, and the patron deity of deceased children and aborted fetuses.
