Kraken is a demon in the series.

History

The Kraken is a sea monster originating from Norse lore, described as an octopus of tremendous size, with its body being many miles in length which would cover the visible sea when it surfaced. The monster was said to pull ships and sailors into the depths with its tentacles. Sailors were said to sometimes mistakingly take its body for dry land, and could also be caught and drowned in the resulting whirpool when it resubmerged.
