Killing Hand appears in the second half of the Arqa Block in Tartarus as a normal enemy. They will appear in groups on their own or mixed with Crying Tables to prevent the weaknesses of both Shadows from being easily exploited.
They will later appear in the first section of Antenora within the Abyss of Time. The Hell Knight will also summon Killing Hands for support during battle. If any character is inflicted with the Fear ailment through the Hell Knight's Evil Touch, the Killing Hand will use the Ghastly Wail skill to finish them off.
Persona 4 / Golden[]
Killing Hand appears on floors 5 through 10 of Marukyu Striptease within the Midnight Channel. Acting as support for other Shadows, it will cast status buffs, block weaknesses, make them stronger, or heal them. When defeated, it may drop Glossy Clasp. Selling 10 Glossy Clasps at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Hanachirusato for Yukiko Amagi in the shop.
Later, it will block access to a chest containing the Orb of Darkness key item in the northwestern areas of Chapter 7 in the Void Quest dungeon. This version will summon an Almighty Hand, which will then act as a healer during the fight. While the Almighty Hand is on the field or right after it dies, Killing Hand will use Deathbound to attack, then summon another Almighty Hand during the next round. Using Wind spells to knock down the Almighty Hand and then again to inflict Dizzy status will keep it from healing Killing Hand too much. After the Killing Hand is dealt with, the battle will end when the Almighty Hand is defeated or if it flees.
In Golden, the regular Killing Hands may also drop Olive Stone for trade at Shiroku Pub. They trade their weaknesses to wind and light for a weakness to physical and lose their dark resistance. They also trade Red Wall for White Wall. Selling 6 Glossy Clasps at Daidara is enough to unlock the Hanachirusato in the shop.
