Kei Azuma is the protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei NINE.

Design[]
Male Kei Azuma wears a black and orange striped shirt mostly hidden under a blue hooded jacket and an unzipped green puff vest. He has long khaki pants, green shoes and brown hair with brown eyes.
Female Kei Azuma wears a khaki trench coat decorated with silver buttons and partly orange pockets. Under that, she wears a pink shirt tucked into a long jade skirt with a blue-lined waistband. Her shoes are grayish-green loafers. Her hair and eyes are reddish brown. She wears rose-red lipstick.
Though their in-game appearance is customizable, their default outfits are a blue hoodie with a white shirt, jeans and black, blue and white sport shoes for the male protagonist, and a green hoodie with a magenta skirt and green and white sport shoes for the female protagonist.
Personality[]
Through the tradition of the Shin Megami Tensei series, they are a silent protagonist, where their personality is based upon the player's actions and decisions.

Kei Azuma has a younger sister, named Emi, and they live together in the slums with their mother Mieko. The protagonist spends a lot of time in Idea Space, and, through a twist of fate, becomes a Debugger with their childhood friend Baraki/Sumire. As the story unravels Kei begins to assume a role to decide the fate of mankind.
