Persona: Tsumi To Batsu[]

Kain Junsa is one of the Reapers working for Nymphéa. Originally, he worked as a police officer assigned to a special assault team, otherwise known as the Sasaki Squad, alongside his friend Keito. Their squad was dispatched to an abandoned house in the Kounan Ward to search and potentially arrest an "invisible culprit" in a string of murders. However, their squad was attacked by a demon that ended up wiping out everyone but Kain and Keito. Kain would leave the force, becoming a priest. Kain is a serious, religious man that believes power is the determining factor of life. However, deep down, he is deeply regretful for his villainous actions.

In truth, that was a trap set up by Kain, Yakumo Kusaka and his squad Leader, Sasaki. Kain was pressured into going along with the plan since the latter two knew he was a Persona-user. He was to use the demon to murder the unit, or else he would be killed instead. During this time, he ordered the demon to slaughter everyone, including Sasaki, as payback. However, he was still under pressure from Yakumo, who made him a Reaper.

Two years later, Keito (now aligned with the Old Factory Family) confronts Kain alone at his church and has both of them walk to Ebisu Beach to catch up with each other. By now, Keito had already realized the truth and fights him there, with Kain determined to finish the job. He sends out the demon that slaughtered his unit before, but its slain by Keito easily with his Persona, Indra. Ultimately, even with his Persona Barbatos being boosted by the Grim Reaper, Keito gains the upper hand. It's then that the rest of the Factory Family arrive to warn Keito that destroying the Grim Reaper was going to get Kain's Persona reaped. Kain knew this, being in utter despair ever since he was forced into the Reaper job, always hoping there was a Persona-user strong enough to finally defeat him. Tearfully, he invokes Barbatos at Keito one more time, with Keito himself realizing that he needed to save his old friend. It's then that Keito unlocks the Wind Key, using it to defeat Barbatos and destroying Kain's Grim Reaper. Before falling unconscious, Kain prayed for Keito's victory against Nymphéa.
