Jotun of Evil appears in Worlds 4 and 5 of Magatsu Mandala within the Midnight Channel. When defeated, it may drop Thunder Bead. Selling four Thunder Beads at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Unlimited for Naoto Shirogane in the shop.

In Golden, Jotun of Evil appears in Worlds 2 and 3. It is no longer immune to fire, light, or dark. In battle, it attacks with heavy single- and multi-target Ice attacks, amplified by Ice Boost. It can sap away SP using Spirit Drain, and attack the party with Aeon Rain. It protects its weakness with Evade Physical. It may also drop Rainbow Quartz for trade at Shiroku Pub.
