Trivia[]

  • Jánošík was designed by Shigenori Soejima.[2]
  • The design of Jánošík's torso is based on the heavy decorative belts worn around his stomach, paired with and used to hold shepherd's axes (which his guns are designed to resemble, along with the pistols he carried), which Jánošík popularized in Slovak culture. The gold twisted braids hanging on either side of Jánošík's head and down his back are based on the historical figure having braided hair.[3] These have been depicted in early wood engravings[4] and have become common visual traits for his character by modern day, seen in costumes and statues.[5]
