The Izanami Clothes are a recurring item in the series, and allow their wearer to become immune to traps and hellfire.

Digital Devil Story 2: Warrior of the Demon City[]
After Set attaches himself to Yumiko Shirasagi and attempts to summon himself fully into the world, the decision is made to resummon Set harmlessly in dead orbit. Akemi Nakajima travels to the Shirasagi Mount to ask Izanami if there isn't some way he could save Yumiko before Set is pulled into space. Izanami gives him her robe, revealing that it was actually Izanagi's robe, and that it will allow him to harness his full power as the reincarnation of Izanagi, though after giving it to him, she fades away, as it was the only thing tying her to the world of the living. Wearing the robe, Nakajima obtains the ability to fly and attempts to cut his way through Set to Yumiko, but Set is summoned into the satellite before he can reach her. Nakajima then follows Set into space, coordinating an attack with Yumiko that destroys Set. Despite Yumiko's wishes, Nakajima saves her from falling into Atziluth and wraps her in the robe, embracing her.
Megami Tensei[]
The Izanami Clothes are given to Nakajima by Izanami in the Rotting Sea of Flames, after being freed using the orbs dropped by the demon lords that Nakajima defeated.
Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei[]
While originally absent from Megami Tensei II, they are added in the remake Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei through a minor sidequest spanning both games. If Nakajima gave Izanami the silk thread during the Megami Tensei playthrough, then Izanami will weave a second set of clothes to give to the hero of Megami Tensei II after he revives her by bringing the Revivifying Incense from Moloch's Temple to her spirit in Belial's Castle.
