Isora, also known as known as Azumi-no-isora, is a Shinto god of the seashore and the sea. His form is unsightly and hideous, being covered with shells, seaweed and other shellfish all over his body. He is considered to be the ancestor of the Azumi people along with being enshrined by the leader of the Azumi fishermen. He is worshiped at Mekari Shrine of Kitakyushu and Shiga Shrine of Tsushima.
