Isamu Yamase is a member of the Devil Busters. When people of the Hatsudai shelter were being killed by demons, he abandoned his duty of protecting them. After shelter falls, Ayato meets him with Dantalion. In actuality, Isamu joined Dantalion to save himself.
When Ayato was captured by Adonis and sent to underground base of enemies with Sonoda, Isamu suddenly appeared and gave Ayato a half-broken COMP, which cannot use its mapper well making navigation inconvenient.
After Ayato defeated the boss of the underground base, Isamu ran away in a hurry, startled and embarrassed.
Etymology[]
- The name Isamu means "brave/bravery, courage" (勇).
- Isamu's surname Yamase means "mountain, hill" (山) (yama) and "swift current, rapids" (瀬) (se).
