Illusory Urahara is an Idolasphere in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE.

Profile[]

Illusory Urahara is first visited in Chapter 2's Intermission, after defeating Gangrel and rescuing Nobu Horinozawa, and unlocking Harajuku. The entrance is located right next to the front entrance of the Togo Shrine, to the far end of the area. It is an optional Idolasphere that doesn't have anything to do with the main storyline, and serves as the game's Arena.

When participating in the Arena fights, the player has to adhere to the rules of the establishment:

  1. No items.
  2. No teammate switching or equipment shuffling, so make sure your team's gear is up to date and you're sure you want to bring the team you want.
  3. Running from a battle is an immediate disqualification, and all Arena rewards you could have won in that run are forfeit.

If you wipe out while in battle here, it still counts as a Game Over, so save often and heal often from the healing station behind the receptionist. Another tip is that much like the Bloom Palace's Idolasphere's three standard paths, you cannot grind out Performa from these fights, just money.

There are four difficulties/Circuits to Arena fights: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Legendary, the latter of which can only be fought on New Game Plus files. There is an entry fee for participating in the fights:

  • Beginner has a ¥500 entry fee.
  • Intermediate has a ¥3,000 entry fee, a sixfold price hike from Beginner.
  • Advanced has a ¥15,000 entry fee, a fivefold price hike from Intermediate.
  • Legendary has a ¥55,000 entry fee, just ¥5K shy of a fourfold price hike from Advanced.

Each fight consists of five waves of Mirages, which can extend if the player decides to do an "encore" if successful. Each encore has stronger Mirages to fight than the last and increases the Arena rewards to match. Two encores is the maximum amount. Winning these fights grants Arena Coins, a form of cumulative currency that gives you prizes the more you collect. Additionally, there are improvable rankings that influence how many prizes you can get as you fight through the various difficulties in the Arena:

  • One Arena win: 2 (Beginner/Interm.)/ 1 (Advance/Legendary) AC
  • Two Arena wins: 6 (Beginner/Interm.)/ 3 (Advance/Legendary) AC
  • Three Arena wins: 18 (Beginner/Interm.)/ 9 (Advance/Legendary) AC
  • Ham: 2 Prizes
  • Supporting Cast: 3 Prizes
  • Lead Actor*: 4 Prizes
  • Talented Actor: 6 Prizes
  • Veteran: 8 Prizes
  • Fan Favorite*: 10 Prizes
  • Star: 12 Prizes
  • Superstar: 15 Prizes

There is also a Daily fight option, where it’s free to enter. However, you cannot earn Arena Coins and there is only one wave of enemies, but you also have a chance of winning a Tome after the battle. Rarely, both Rare Mirages, that being Sixth Element and Bretorius, can be found here, which drop their respective Performa materials Macca Converter and Interstellar Sefirot as standard.

Request[]

Arena Staff on Hire[]

The receptionist has a request that spans the entire rest of the game to complete. To participate, the player must start the quest "Arena Staff on Hire", which entails recruiting ten Mirages found in various Idolaspheres. They can only be recruited after accepting this request and after the boss of that particular Illusory Area has been defeated (e.g. Rexer can't be recruited until Cursed Draug is dealt with). Nine of them can trade items, Performa and money, as well as answer questions in a manner reminiscent of Demon Negotiation in the Megami Tensei franchise. How much Performa they give depends on how much the player appeases them, with the Performa they give in return being dependant on where they were found.

  1. Mitesh the Dark Cleric: Along Illusory Daitama's path in the Lower Level, next to the Masked Salesclerk.
  2. Piffin the Apparition: Looking at the orange mannequin in Illusory 106's 6th Floor.
  3. Gainey the Nickelwise: Can be found near a red-colored floor in Illusory Shibuya's Third Block area.
  4. Rexer the Caspar: Complete Illusory Daitou TV, then during Ch. 3 Intermission, head back to the Film Set A: Indoors (2F) warp point.
  5. Boney the Skellington: Complete Illusory Studio, then during Ch. 4 Intermission, head to either warp point to the LCD Screen area, then head to Door 3.
  6. Kiyo the Samantha: Complete the events of the Sealed Area of I. DTV, then head back to the Film Set B, F1 warp point, and walked back to the room with the Performa stream.
  7. Naranash the Pale Bishop: Complete the events of the Sealed Area of I. 106, then head back to the B3 warp point, where she's a stone throw away from.
  8. Bayon the Ogre: Complete the events of the Sealed Area of I. Studio, then go back to the Back Monitor Room and talk to the very Ogre that gave you the code to traverse the Sealed I. Studio.
  9. Ogar the Cerberus: Defeat Gangrel a second time in Illusory Dolhr, then take the warp point to 238m, walk back to the ladder leading to 232m, then find Ogar within the maze again.

However, the bored Mirage from Harajuku, Nieg the Phantom, found near the Crepes Dia shop, is special: he will trade an Incense for every nine pieces of Detritus you trade him, and Nieg will throw in a random freebie on the tenth trade.

Once everyone is assembled, go behind the receptionist to finish the request.

Path of the Strong[]

After trading him 108 pieces of Detritus (twelve trades), leave then re-enter Illusory Urahara, Nieg will head to Illusory Daitama; at the boss arena of the Idolasphere, he will be harrassed by Savage Mirages. Talking to him will offer up the request "Path of the Strong," which entails fighting three Lv. 48 Poltergeists. The immediate reward for beating these Mirages is the Deft Hands Performa, which will allow Itsuki to craft the Locktouch Radiant Skill after using the Bloom Palace's Radiant Unity service. Head back to the Arena to complete the request; Nieg will resume his Incense trading service thereafter.

The Dragon Descends[]

On New Game Plus files, after completing "Path of the Strong" and trading him an additional 324 pieces of Detritus (36 trades), Nieg will remember who he truly is: a Mage Dragon. From this, he requests that he should now be called "King" and challenges Itsuki to fight him in his true form, opening up the request "The Dragon Descends", where the player can fight M-DEUS. If Itsuki and his friends challenge him and wins, Nieg will be initially distraught that he lost again to humans, but accepts his loss and offers them to challenge him again anytime.

Note that despite the ability to fight M-DEUS as many times as the player has the sanity for, the request itself isn't a repeatable request.

Trivia[]

  • The random freebie from Nieg is the only way players can get Luck Incenses while here.
  • Should the player have the max amount of an item that is offered as a reward, the receptionist will hold onto it. You cannot participate in more Arena battles until you free up space in your inventory.
  • In order to get enough War Testaments, the Performa needed to forge the ultimate Carnage of all characters, for everyone, one needs about 238 Legendary Arena Coins, meaning one has to fight these waves of enemies about 27 times, and even more if one wants to strengthen them further in the Carnage Unity service.
