Huang Di (黃帝), the Yellow Emperor, also known as Xuan Yuan (軒轅), is a legendary ruler and the ancestor of Han people in China who is also thought to be the founder of Chinese civilization. He is famous for inventing several things, lending his talents to creating houses, clothes, wagons, boats, music and medicine.
According to legend, he fought against Chi You, the god of war, at the battle of Zhoulu and won, securing the central plains of China for his people. He also fought against the giant Xing Tian. Legend has it that he also encountered a Bai Ze, who described to him all the 11,520 types of monsters, shapeshifters, demons and spirits in the world, which was later recorded in the book "Bai Ze Tu" (白澤圖). In Huainanzi it is said that he assisted the goddess Nuwa in creation of humans by forming their organs.
During the Warring States period of China, Huang Di was incorporated into the Five Phases of Taoism to represent the element of "earth" and Huang Long, the Yellow Dragon.
There are a few variations of Huang Di's birth. Some credit his birth to either a man or woman by the name of Shaodian (少典), king of the Youxiong (有熊) clan. Another account says that his mother Fubao (附寶) of the Youqiao (有蟜) clan, after witnessing the lightning spiraling around the Big Dipper stars, became pregnant with him as a virgin, and the pregnancy lasted 24 months.

Huang Di can be obtained if Zeed is level 80 or higher and fused with Xi Wangmu.

Only obtainable as a result of a fusion accident. Fusing a KO'd Chi You with a KO'd Samael, provided the accident occurs, may result in a Huang Di.

Huang Di is the highest-leveled Sub-Persona, even higher than Lucifer. His special fusion is unlocked with the Ineffable Miter item, obtained by mapping out the fourth block of the Theater District. His fusion requires Chi You, Futsunushi and Zaou-Gongen, and he is host to the unique skills Empyrean Storm, Fury Order and Focus Order.

Trivia[]
The Japanese compendium entry from Soul Hackers claims that Huang Di's mother, Fubao, was being notified of her pregnancy after witnessing the lightning circulating the first star of the Big Dipper, in other words, Dubhe. The English localization incorrectly identifies Fubao as Dubhe. Since Shin Megami Tensei IV, her name is corrected to "Fu Pao."
