Hideo Sawaki is a character in Ronde.

A prodigy lecturer at T University, and childhood friend of Sysop, he is a non-combat character who helps Asuka Miroku and the others in investigating the demon appearances by offering advice. The first stage he appears on is the Yoyogi Park stage that follows the Tokyo National Museum fight.
It is revealed in disc 2 that Sawaki is the reincarnation of an European man named Hans, who tries saving his lover Joanna from being burned at the stake. He relives his past life alongside Asuka.
He holds a theoretical physics doctorate, but he began studying Archeology suddenly for his own reasons. It is later implied that he did this because he is a Candidate to become Ahriman and is seeking a way to stop it. If he becomes Ahriman, he is killed and the contract is broken, freeing Satoshi and leading to the good ending.

- The name Hideo means "excellent, fine" (秀) (hide) and "man" (雄) (o).
- Hideo's surname Sawaki means "marsh" (沢) (sawa) and "tree, wood" (木) (ki).
