Hideo Momochi is first seen accusing the protagonist and Rei Reiho of bombing Azuma's House, and subsequently taking them to the Police Station for interrogation. Later in the story, demons infest the Police Station, where Momochi can be found imprisoned in the dimly-lit basement floor. He explains that he learned that the chief was really Kumbhanda in disguise, and upon the discovery he was thrown in jail. After the Police Station returns to normal, he's freed from prison. In the epilogue, one of his novels becomes a bestseller.
