Hector is a monster in Metaphor: ReFantazio and Idaeus Glodell's pet hound.
Appearances[]
- Metaphor: ReFantazio: Boss
Profile[]
Despite Glodell's general arrogance and snobbishness, he genuinely cares for Hector and does not go anywhere without him. Hector, despite being melancholized, has been tamed by Glodell and willingly turned into a monster at Glodell's command to attack the party when he needed the extra manpower to take down the protagonist.
Hector survives the confrontation with the protagonist and Junah and can be found in Port Brilehaven with a new owner, an expert healer who once studied in the Mage Academy capable of recovering mutations caused by melancholia crystals. Much to Gallica's shock, he tells the protagonist that Hector was treated rather well by Glodell.
Etymology[]
- Hector is a Greek name meaning "steadfast, to hold." In Greek mythology, Hector was a hero in the Trojan War known for his bravery and honor. He was later killed by Achilles in retaliation for Patroclus' death and dragged by his heels behind Achilles' chariot for twelve days.
