Hassou Tobi (八艘跳び, Hassōtobi)? or Hassotobi is a damage-dealing Physical skill. It is the signature skill of Yoshitsune and cannot be passed down via fusion.
Effect[]
Hassou Tobi deals light physical damage to all foes, and hits 8 times. The accuracy and Critical status are examined on the first blow, meaning if the first one misses or lands a Critical hit, the rest will as well.
In Shin Megami Tensei V, each attack has a guaranteed Critical rate.

The name, "Hassou Tobi," (八艘飛び, Hassōtobi)? originates from The Tale of the Heike Chapter 11, where during the Battle of Dan-no-ura Yoshitsune would leap over a boat at sea in order to flee from the enemy commander Noritsune. Although in the story he only jumps once, it was later reported he jumped 8 times.[1]
Trivia[]
- Hassou Tobi is the strongest physical attack in almost every game it is present in; the latest exception is in Persona 5 Strikers, where it is outclassed by Agneyastra and God's Hand.
