Persona 4 / Golden

Happy Gene is found in Worlds 4 through 6 in Magatsu Mandala within the Midnight Channel. It will try to afflict the party with status effects, and its Galgalim Eyes skill can potentially reduce a party member's HP to 1 along with causing Enervation. When defeated, it may drop Unthinkable Metal. Selling four Unthinkable Metals at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Militia Dagger for Yosuke Hanamura in the shop.

In Golden, Happy Gene only appears in Worlds 4 and 5. It has no offensive skills. It can erect both physical and magical barriers, sacrifice itself to heal an ally to full, or cure all ailments except for Down. It protects its weakness with Dodge Physical and is immune to Light and Dark. It may also drop Rainbow Quartz for trade at Shiroku Pub.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Happy Gene appears in Nights 1 through 3 of the Inaba Pride Exhibit. It is weak to Dark, can Panic the party with Tentarafoo, and can instantly kill a party member with Mudoon. When defeated, it may drop Spiral Piece and Spiral Spring. Spiral Piece is used to create the Camel Red for Naoto. Spiral Spring is used to create the Aigis Armor v8 for Aigis.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

Happy Gene appears in Area 4 of the second Theater, Junessic Land. It makes frequent use of Sukukaja to boost its accuracy and evasion. When defeated, it may drop Gene Crystal and Gene Fibers. Gene Crystal is used to create the Obsidian Knife and Skinning Knife for the P5 hero, the Fern Whip and Skin Ripper for Ann, the Alpha Saber for Akechi, and the Primal Naginata for the P3P heroine. Gene Fibers is used to create the Rubble Launcher for Morgana, the Hard Rocker for Akihiko and Makoto, Dinosaur Legs for Chie, the Downpour Fan and Fortified Tessen for Yukiko, the Kazegiri for Teddie, and the Primal Bikini female armor.
