Hama (ハマ*)? is a special Expel skill.
Contents
Effect[edit | edit source]
Hama has a low chance of instantly killing its target. The skill instantly drops the opponent's HP to 0, by 25% chance, with resistances decreasing the odds and weaknesses increasing the odds.
Bosses are always unaffected by Hama's instant kill abilities, even if they are weak to status. The method this is done depends on game; if no damage-dealing Light or Dark skills are present, then the boss is naturally immune to Light and Dark. If said damage-dealing skills are present, then all instant kills are blocked by the boss even if it is weak to Light or Dark.
In Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Hama does medium Light damage instead of instantly killing the enemy. If the user is affected by Smirk, it has a 30% chance of instantly killing any non-boss enemy. It will only deal damage as usual against bosses.
In the Digital Devil Saga duology, Hama reduces the current HP of an enemy by half. Should an enemy be weak to Expel, Hama will be guaranteed to remove half of that enemy's current HP. Human characters (both party members and enemies) are always immune to Hama, even in Berserk Mode.
In any Persona games but Megami Ibunroku Persona and the Persona 5 series of games, the skill is Light type.
In the Persona 5 series (including Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth), the skill is Bless type.
