Known as the Jade Emperor, who has many names such as "Yuhuang Shangdi"(玉皇上帝), "Yuhuang Dadi" (玉皇大帝), simply "Yudi" (玉帝) or "Tiangong"(天公, lit. "Heavenly Duke"). It is said that he is originally the prince of the kingdom of Pure Felicity and Majestic Heavenly Lights and Ornaments (光明妙楽国). When he enters heaven, he becomes the ruler there. He is said to be below the Three Pure Ones in Taoism, and in other accounts he is the Supreme Being in Taoism after the end of the Song dynasty.
