History

"Gothic" is an artistic style primarily developed in Northern Europe. Gothic-style swords are differentiated from other medieval forms by the twisting style of crosses and pommels. Sculpting the cross and pommel to resemble twisted branches was a very common decorative motif, though sometimes the twisting was more subtle.
