Gnome is a demon in the series.

History

Gnomes are an earth elemental that first appeared in the alchemical works of Paracelsus. They are described as being two spans (about 18 inches) tall, though they appear much taller while donning a cap. They are reticent of humans and are able to move through solid earth as easily as humans move through air. They have a fair facial complexion aside from their rosy red cheeks. Long beards that gray far sooner than their head hair adorn their faces.

Gnomes tend to live in hilly meadows and rocky woodlands. It is said they live in a complex of three trees: one tree serving as the house itself, another serving as a secret entrance, and a third serving as a storage space, with grains, beans, potatoes and other supplies needed during the winter. Their feet are somewhat pigeon-toed, which gives them an extra edge on speed and agility as they run through woods and fields.

Gnome is created from a fusion of two Tree, Reaper, Lady or Kishin race demons. It is used to rank up Tree, Reaper, Lady and Kishin race demons, and ranks down Avian, Holy, Fury and Dragon race demons.

Gnome can only be obtained through fusing two members of the Kishin, Lady, Reaper and Tree races together. It can teach Nanashi the Lullaby skill through its Demon Whisper. Gnome benefits from learning Electricity and ailment skills.
