Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon[]
A 61-year old devil summoner who earned his title as one of the Four Great Summoners of the Kuzunoha clan years ago, he is fiercely dedicated to his role as guardian of the Tsukigata Village. For this reason he does not take Raidou Kuzunoha XIV's interference into the village fairly well. Geirin has spent time training in North America. He is mentoring Nagi to become the next Geirin Kuzunoha and took her in when she was a young girl.
When the Apollyons first appeared in the sky he tells the villagers to go to the Fukuroku Inn and faces off and defeats any Apollyons he comes across. When Raidou attempts to investigate into the children's song he attempts to keep all facts about it secret, only for Nagi to reveal the ancient scripture he has kept hidden near the Three Cedars.
He takes the scripture from Raidou and tells him to head to the Pojitrawn chamber. When Raidou arrives he sees Geirin finishing off an Apollyon, afterwards he challenges Raidou to a duel if he wanted the scriptures that holds the means to close the Gate to the Abysmal Realm. During the fight against him he summons Sandalphon, Mada, Rakshasa, Mahakala, Basilisk, Thor, Rangda and Angel.
He gives the ancient scripture after his defeat and reveals that he became a Geirin Kuzunoha in order to achieve an act as great as Geirin Kuzunoha the First's when he closed the Gate to the Abysmal Realm in the feudal states period. However, he realizes that he is unable to accomplish such a goal himself, but still wishes to succeed as someone who earned his title. He asks that Raidou finish the secret art should he fail to do so. Nagi reveals his tuberculosis as he goes on ahead to challenge the past Geirin Kuzunohas.
He succeeds in defeating 14 of the Predecessor Geirins himself before Raidou and Nagi arrive, only for his illness and fatigue to keep him from fighting the last two. As Raidou battles the 16th Geirin will use a soma that restores Raidou and his demons to their full strength, stating it would be useless on him since he was already dying. Near the end of the fight, he carves a sigil that stops the Predecessor Geirin from moving so Raidou can finish him. After the battle, Geirin passes away.
