Garnet is a gemstone.
History[]
Garnets were the most commonly used gemstones in the Late Antique Roman world. Pure crystals of garnet are still used as gemstones today. The gemstone varies in color, from shades of green to red, yellow, or orange. The garnet family is one of the most complex in the gem world, as it is composed of multiple species and varieties.
The word garnet comes from the 14th-century Middle English word gernet, meaning "dark red." It is borrowed from granum ("grain, seed"), possibly in reference to pomegranates.
Effect[]
In Shin Megami Tensei, Garnets are used to trade for items or Element Race demons.
In Shin Megami Tensei II, Garnets increase Aleph's stats when nine are held.
In Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, Garnets can be given to demons to increase their Loyalty.
In Megami Ibunroku Persona, Garnets can be added to a fusion, reducing or raising a Persona's Order.
In Persona 3, Garnets are used to trade for items and incense cards from Shinshoudo Antiques.
In Persona 5, Garnets cannot be used in any way and can only be sold for money.
