Gaea Rage (地母の晩餐, Jibo no Bansan)? is an offensive skill. It is a skill usually exclusive to the Demi-fiend.
Overview[]
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne[]
In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Gaea Rage deals severe Physical damage. It costs 35% of his maximum HP to use, and has a critical rate of 30% and an evasion rate of 3%. It is exclusive to the Demi-fiend.
Shin Megami Tensei IV[]
In Shin Megami Tensei IV, Gaea Rage deals heavy Almighty damage to all foes and is a skill exclusive to Sanat. When fighting against him, Gaea Rage also has a 30% chance of rendering Flynn's demons lost, and will use this attack if his HP drops low. However, if he's being hit by Gun skills or if Tetrakarn is utilized during that encounter, he will skip straight into spamming it.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse[]
In Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Gaea Rage deals severe Almighty damage to all enemies and debuffs their defense by two stages. It is exclusive to the Demi-fiend and he only joins Nanashi for the second fight against Stephen as a temporary ally in the DLC "Messiahs of the Diamond Realm."
Shin Megami Tensei V[]
In Shin Megami Tensei V, Gaea Rage is one of Demi-fiend's signature skills at the end of the Return of the True Demon DLC subquest. It deals severe Physical damage to all enemies that ignores affinity.
Gaea Rage deals a very high amount of affinity-piercing physical damage, far in excess of the 999 health cap, instantly killing the protagonist's party unless a passive such as Enduring Soul is used. The Demi-fiend however, is way more lenient at using the skill than he does in Avatar Tuner and will only use it if 5 of his Press turns pass without him summoning a demon, or if the party utilizes an Attack Mirror or Tetrakarn, allowing the player to get around it by killing at least one demon every few turns. The protagonist can obtain Gaea Rage via Essence Fusion using the Demi-fiend's Essence, acquired by defeating the Demi-fiend, but the attack will be weaker than the boss encounter version.
Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner[]
In Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, Gaea Rage is a skill used exclusively by the Demi-fiend. It deals incredibly high Almighty damage, far above the 999 health cap, instantly killing any party member it hits. He will only use it after Pixie /Parvati casts Dormina for the first time or when the party equips any skills that nullify attacks. This ensures the Demi-Fiend will positively spam the attack, as his demons are repeatedly summoned and they (and the Demi-Fiend himself) have enough bulk to survive at least one round of concentrated firepower, turning the battle into one of the hardest in the entire series. It can only be survived using Close Call (user survives with 1 HP), or Null Sleep (guarantees 100% evasion while inflicted with Sleep), with the latter being preferred as the Demi-Fiend is extremely liberal in using the attack to annihilate the party.
