History[]
Fuutai is a Chinese god of storms with a tiger's tail who lives on the top of a mountain. In the Japanese version of the game, the Chinese character of its name is written 風泰. In Japanese, the pronunciation of this name is the same as that of wind sock (風袋). Therefore, in some depictions, it looks similar to the Japanese Fūjin.
Its name may come from Taifeng (泰逢) in Shanhai jing. This may be caused by the inversion of some vocabulary in Japanese and Chinese.

Fuutai is the first Persona of the Hermit Arcana. As it ranks up, all of its stat increases go into its Dexterity and Agility stats. Upon being returned to the Velvet Room at MAX Rank, it will yield a Bufudyne Stone.
