In Shin Megami Tensei 1, the Gaians, the Chaos-aligned final bosses, and the bonus boss Beelzebub appear in what appear to be Buddhist temples, though there are sometimes Hindu elements (like banners with the Aum symbol on it, I think). In Shin Megami Tensei 2, the Gaians appear in similar Buddhist temples with guardian gods. Why is this and how does it relate to them and the Chaos alignment? Also, take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNWN6m8fL48&list=FLLliv3TA9byrpnxUt9I8krA&index=1

In 1:44 of that video, Gotou is shown with Take-Mikazuchi, Mahakala, Agni, Loki, Bishamonten, Ame-no-Uzume, Koumokuten, Fudo Myo-O, Indrajit, Kikuri-hime, and Lakshmi (you can see their sprites). What does that illustrate? GalaxiaWild (talk) 19:57, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Gotou/video, I cant understand the japanese being spoken, but it feels like its talking about Gotou wanting to use demons to take over the world or something, and they just used a bunch of random demons. I dont think they mean anything. I havent gotten far enough in 1 or 2 to get to those battles, but my guess is that it doesnt really have a deeper meaning. Tathra (talk) 01:35, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
