Forums: Index > House of Jakyo > Subpage for P4 Arena character data

I suggest moving most content of Persona 4 Arena section from P4 character to subpage like "Naoto Shirogane/Arena". Having said that I harbor no ill will towards any information regarding the play style section. But making a separate subpage allows more specific information of the fighting game mechanics to be detailed as with how Final Fantasy Wikia setup subpage for character's Dissidia FF data. Thoughts? -- Inpursuit (talk) 06:31, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

The Dissidia sections are because those are separate incarnations of those characters outside their game's "usual canon". Arena is canon to the other games. And, well, I don't really see much other reason to split, as I am pretty sure there isn't a page size problem. We shouldn't split for the sake of it.--Otherarrow (talk) 06:37, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
i don't know, i think the pages seem kind of cluttered when half of the page is Arena-specific stuff. the Arena stuff is definitely big enough to be able to go on its own subpage, and lots of wikis have character stuff split up into multiple subpages. it may not be necessary but i think it'd be aesthetically better and easier to navigate if all the 'general' stuff was on the main page and Arena stuff on a subpage. Actually, why stop there? There are instances where certain characters and demons have bigger roles in certain games i.e. Yuriko, Louisa Ferre, Izanami etc, that warrants an article space or a subpage just for their information alone by that justification. BLUER一番 20:36, March 24, 2015 (UTC)
that's misrepresenting my position. i'm not suggesting to just move any part onto its own subpage because its large. profile/general info should stay on main pages, because that's useful for everyone to know, but stuff like Playstyle and Move List are specifically for people playing Arena. unlike the profile stuff for Arena, which would count as general knowledge and benefit everyone, those sections and "Strategy" sections are just game-specific and aren't useful for anyone to know except for the ones playing those games. so "non-general knowledge, game-specific" stuff would be the extent of whats being suggested for being moved to a subpage, and only when its large enough on its own to warrant having a sub-page (so just a paragraph or 2 wouldn't be enough, but once it reaches essay length its large enough to stand on its own).
