Each enemy has a set amount of exp it gives you upon it's death, after which, this formula is used: X[(1+0.08)^n-1], where X is the set amount of exp given, and n is difference between the party member's level and the enemy demon's level. This compounded value is then either added to or subtracted from the base exp value, depending on whether the party member in question is over or under the enemy's level. All of the exp gained from all the enemies killed is then added together and divided by active party members.
It's not an all encompassing equation, sometimes the values will round up depending on the decimal place value while other times it won't, and you can't go lower than half of the enemy's base exp value, but this method has given me good consistency between theoretical calculations and actual results.
