Fire Dragon Mauna (火竜マウナ, Hiryuu Mauna)? is an optional dragon boss in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

It is a fire dragon that resides within the Nord Mines. Some time ago, the mines were discovered to be the dragon's den by the sanctist church and they ordered it to be closed down despite its immense Magla reserves. According to Grius, it is considered rather weak for a dragon, but it is nonetheless a highly dangerous creature that must be avoided if possible.
The protagonist can encounter the dragon near the end of the Nord Mines after escaping from an ambush set up by Captain Klinger. He might choose to directly run in front of it to confront it, or take the roundabout path towards the exit of the dungeon. The dragon has an immense HP pool for an enemy of its level (way more than some major early game bosses fought later on), is one of the very few enemies that can outright repel attacks at the stage of the game and has fire attacks that can hit the protagonist's Seeker for extra damage and an extra attack. Therefore, if one wants to fight it, they must be prepared with a proper strategy.
Should the party manage to defeat it, they will find the Dragon's Indignation in the chest it is guarding, which can be purified into a much stronger Dragon's Judgement. They will also find a large concentration of gemstones scattered around where the dragon was. Regardless if it is defeated or not, the Nord Mines' exit will be blown up by the dragon's flames, forcing the party into an escape sequence.
