Fionn mac Cumhaill is a demon in the series.
History[]
Fionn mac Cumhaill is a hunter-warrior in Irish mythology whose given name means "white, bright, lustrous; fair, light-hued; fair, handsome, bright, blessed; in moral sense, fair, just, true." In the Irish stories, Fionn was the posthumous son of Cumhall, leader of the Fianna, by Muirne with many of his followers.
As a child, Fionn was raised by druids and studied under the poet Finnegas, who was prophesied to eat the Salmon of Knowledge. When he finally catches the salmon, Fionn is tasked with cooking it, and in the process burns his thumb, instinctively putting it in his mouth. His thumb, having caught some of the salmon's fat, imbues Fionn with its knowledge. Upon seeing this, Finnegas gives him the whole fish to eat, thusly granting Fionn all the salmon's wisdom.
Fionn wields a sword with the epithet Mac an Luin.

Profile[]
Shin Megami Tensei V[]
"The leader of the Fianna, warriors who protected High King Cormac of Ireland. He was born as Deimne, but, due to his blond hair and white skin, he soon came to be called "Fionn," a name meaning "golden hair."
When training under the druid, Finn Eces, he was ordered to cook the Salmon of Knowledge, and upon licking some of the salmon's fat from his thumb, he gained its knowledge. From that point on, it is said that Fionn could tap this knowledge any time he licked his thumb."
Fionn first ambushes the protagonist when they accompany Tao Isonokami to rescue the students abducted by the demons. After the protagonist holds him off, Tao explains that they were looking for the abducted students. Fionn then apologizes as he believed that the protagonist, being a Nahobino demon, was bringing another victim to Lahmu and told them he had rescued as many humans as he could from Lahmu's forces to a friendly fairy village, warning the two to be on guard as they ventured deeper.
The protagonist can later find Fionn at Motoasakusa, Taito. Should the protagonist have completed certain criteria, presumably after completing 30 quests, regardless of whether they're main or side quests, as well as completing certain Fairy Village-related subquests, particularly "The Root of the Problem," "The Goddess Stolen" and "An Unusual Forecast," he will thank the protagonist for helping the fairy village and admits that he has no interest in the throne, but looking to serve a rightful lord. He will offer the quest "Fionn's Resolve," asking for a rematch. If the protagonist accepts and defeats Fionn, empowered with Knowledge from licking his thumb, he will join the party, provided that there is space for him and also unlocks him for fusion, requiring a special fusion of Cu Chulainn, Scathach and Baihu. He in turn is one of the required demons for the special fusion of Danu.
Fionn may speak to an enemy Setanta if he is in their party and the two will briefly converse about the state of Da'at; Setanta will give Fionn an item before leaving.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance[]
"The leader of the Fianna, warriors who protected High King Cormac of Ireland. He was born as Deimne, but due to his blonde hair and white skin, he soon came to be called "Fionn," a name meaning "golden hair."

Fionn doesn't have any expanded role in the storyline of the Canon of Vengeance, but he gains a new Subquest dedicated to himself. Upon Fionn joining the Nahobino's stock, he will wish to speak to the godling in the Demon Haunt. Once conversed, the Subquest "Hero of the Celts" becomes available. Fionn talks to the Nahobino about meeting his idol, Cu Chulainn, at Shinobazu Pond in Taito. Upon reaching there, Cu Chulainn and his master, Scathach, then task Fionn and the Nahobino to collect at least 11 four-leaf clovers before the full moon. Complicating matters is the presence of various fairies that protect the clovers and will cast sleeping magic on the Nahobino if they ever see him, causing him to time to automatically progress. Upon completing task, the Nahobino is rewarded the Eye of Balor.
Completing "Fionn's Resolve" also acts as one of two flags needed to unlock the ability to fight "an exceptionally powerful" Lucifer in the Canon of Vengeance and the Canon of Creation's Law and Chaos endings, the other being the completion of the Khonsu questline.
