Love Live! School Idol Festival (LLSIF or SIF for short) is the original 2013 mobile rhythm game for the Sunrise/Lantis/Dengeki G's anime and music franchise Love Live! As part of Persona's 25th anniversary in 2021, Persona announced a collaboration with Love Live! in School Idol Festival entitled Pentas Festival and featuring members of the first two Love Live! groups – µ's (School Idol Project) and Aqours (Sunshine!!) as Personas from Persona 3 to Persona 5 and featuring one song each from Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5 as limited songs.
Persona is the third collaboration in School Idol Festival after Shadowverse and The Powerpuff Girls, while SIF is the third mobile game that Persona has collaborated with after Bang Dream! Girls Band Party and the Thievery in Blue collaboration in Granblue Fantasy.
Story[]
The collaboration includes a voiced scene where µ's encounters an anniversary stage similar to a stage from one of the Persona Dancing games while out training and meets Morgana – who has also arrived there without knowing how – in a scene similar to how the Persona 5 protagonist and Ryuji Sakamoto first enter the Metaverse and encounter their first Palace.
Morgana recognizes that where they are is not the Metaverse and is intrigued to learn about school idols, which he has never heard of before. He makes a deal with µ's to help each other get out, bestowing their Persona costumes on them and encouraging them to do what comes naturally. µ's gets the idea to perform, after which the stage lights come on and light sticks surround the stage as if a crowd has gathered, leading them to invite Morgana to perform with them – an invitation Morgana accepts.
Gameplay[]
The event is set up as a Live Arena (inspired by Persona 4 Arena) called the School Scramble Live Arena. In each of the 100 progressively more difficult stages, the player is matched with a female character from Persona 3, Persona 4 or Persona 5 as a guest and first plays to beat scores set by the guest or by other players to fill the Excitement Gauge and play a Special Session where the guest Persona character provides comments, after which the player is challenged to beat a score set by the guest to clear the stage. Dream Sessions are also available at certain points for bonus rewards.

From Love Live![]
µ's' cards are Ultra Rare (UR, the highest rarity in the game), while Aqours' cards are Super Super Rare (SSR, the second highest rarity). Aqours were assigned Personas from certain titles according to their members' primary attributes/classifications - Persona 3 for Smile, Persona 4 for Cool and Persona 5 for Pure. Eli also has a second UR dressed as Elizabeth after winning the vote for campaign girl for the Persona collaboration, available as an event reward.
