Profile[]
Persona 4[]
Misuzu Hiiragi was married to city council secretary Taro Namatame. However, her popularity as an enka singer and her husband's passion for his job put a strain on their relationship.
When having found her husband had an affair with TV announcer Mayumi Yamano, she filed for divorce and revealed it to the media, stirring a public scandal and making Namatame and Yamano the talk of Japan.[1]
She is never met nor shown in person, and almost nothing is known or revealed about her, but she is mentioned often and can be seen on posters found in Junes. Although Namatame would lose his job and Yamano's life in the spotlight would be ruined, Yamano's sales for her albums would have gone up as a result of the murder.[2]
When listening to Namatame's story, he would explain he truly found happiness with Mayumi and confessed that Mayumi was the only one who accepted him for who he was, giving meaning to his life. This implies that Hiiragi was fairly distant to him. Additionally, in the world Mayumi created within the Midnight Channel, there are posters of Hiiragi that have been defaced, along with a noose. This implies that Yamano has developed a grudge towards her specifically.
