History[]
In Norse Mythology, Kvasir, is a poet and was known as the wisest of all men. He was born when the saliva of both Aesir and Vanir mixed. Kvasir was a very wise individual who traveled far and wide to spread and teach his knowledge to others. This continued until the day that two dwarves named Fjalar and Kalar killed him. They then drained his blood and mixed it with honey to create the Mead of Poetry, which embued those who drank it with wisdom and was spread until it resulted in mankind learning poetry. In life, he was one of the wisest of the Vanir and he aided in the capturing and binding of Loki.
