Persona 4 / Golden

Fickle Papillon appears on floors 1 and 2 of Magatsu Inaba within the Midnight Channel. On top of supporting other Shadows with Matarukaja, it will attack with Ziodyne or try to poison or silence the party. when defeated, it may drop Miracle Scale. Selling four Miracle Scales at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Demon Boots for Chie Satonaka in the shop.

In Golden, it appears on the floors above. It has no weaknesses and resists all elemental spells. In battle, it will use Stagnant Air to increase the chances of landing ailments from its single-target physical attacks. It may also drop Aurora Quartz for trade at the Shiroku Pub.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

During a special screening in the Hikari labyrinth, the group chases a giant purple butterfly for Elizabeth. Once Hikari manages to get it to come to her, due to it being her labyrinth, the party takes a break in the flower field where they chased it to. Teddie decides to try and capture some of the other butterflies to be like Hikari. However, it turns out to be a Fickle Papillon that attacks in self-defense. The party deduces that the giant butterfly had actually tricked them into being ambushed.
