Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Festival Dudes appear as an F.O.E in Nights 2 and 4 of the Inaba Pride Exhibit. They are a collection of four F.O.Es carrying a shrine that move slowly in a fixed pattern, taking one step every two steps the party takes. The party can move about safely between them and under the shrine as long as they do not cross either of their paths. If the Holy Flame is lit, the Festival Dudes become fired up, and move at the same speed as other patrolling F.O.Es. If engaged while the Holy Flame is lit, they will take two actions per turn instead of one.

When defeated, they may drop Hyottoko Mask. Hyottoko Mask is used to create the Clover Pole for Ken and the Critical Bullet for Zen and Rei.

Strategy

After completing the Inaba Pride Exhibit, Elizabeth issues a request for the party to defeat one of them. Despite having two weaknesses—something unexpected for F.O.Es at this stage—Festival Dudes have incredible offensive power between their Crazed Slash and Maragidyne attacks, and can repeatedly heal themselves with Diarahan. Inflicting Panic on them is almost imperative to keep the party alive.

However, a team consisting of exactly four specific male party members can possibly prevent this F.O.E. from using Diarahan and Maragidyne, potentially making the battle easier. Elizabeth drops hints of this when the request is accepted, suggesting that the party fight the Festival Dudes on equal grounds with "fellow men" around. The characters eligible for this condition are the P3 hero, the P4 hero, Yosuke, Kanji, Junpei, Akihiko, and Shinjiro. The only exceptions are Zen, Teddie, Koromaru, and Ken. The party also cannot have a lit torch when the battle starts. If this condition is met, the message indicating the Festival Dudes are "fired up" will display.
