Persona 4 / Golden

Fail Gene appears on B5F and B6F of the Secret Laboratory within the Midnight Channel. It will attempt to cast status ailments on the party before attacking. When defeated, it may drop Stretchy Object. Selling six Stretchy Objects at Daidara Metalworks will unlock the Sleipnir for Chie Satonaka in the shop.

In Golden, it acts solely as a support unit, having all four Wall spells and Tetrakarn to cover its allies' weaknesses. It may also cure allies of knockdown or dizzy with Re Patra. It also repels physical attacks. It may also drop Rose Quartz for trade at Shiroku Pub.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

Fail Gene appears on Lab Floor 1 and Lab Floor 2 of the third Theater, A.I.G.I.S.. When defeated, it may drop Gene Spireme and Gene Core. Gene Spireme is used to create the Chain Whip for Ann Takamaki, the Horsechopper for Junpei Iori and the P4 hero, the Thunder Claw for Teddie, and the Light Dog Suit armor for Koromaru. Gene Core is used to create the Burn Whip for Ann, the Bastard Sword for Junpei and the P4 hero, the Shield Gun for Naoto Shirogane, the Night Stalker* for Shinjiro Aragaki, and the Futuristic Tights female armor.
