Excellus is a character from Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE.

Appearances

History

Excellus is a character from Fire Emblem: Awakening. He is a tactician in the employ of the warlord Walhart, who aims to conquer the continent of Valm through military might. However, the extent of Excellus's actual tactical prowess is limited; he instead exerts control over Walhart's adversaries through blackmail, threats, and similar strategies. His loyalty toward Walhart is also suspect, as he is also a member of the Grimleal cult and accepts a proposal from Aversa that would reward him with the throne of Plegia if he could take the Fire Emblem from Chrom.

Eventually, Chrom's forces and their superior diplomacy and tactics overwhelm Excellus's underhanded strategies. With his campaign threatening to end in failure, Walhart reveals he had learned of Excellus's treachery and forces the exposed tactician to enter the field of battle against the Ylissian army herself. Excellus dies in the ensuing combat.
