Estoma (エストマ, Esutoma)? is a special support skill.
Effect[]
Estoma temporarily prevents encounters with weaker foes. The effect typically lasts for one moon phase cycle.
In Shin Megami Tensei, Estoma prevents all random encounters until the party enters or exits a dungeon, or Traesto or Traport is cast.
In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Estoma reduces the encounter rate, instead of preventing them outright.
In Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Estoma has been reworked as a Miracle called the Estoma Barrier. Once learned, the protagonist can summon and dismiss the Estoma Barrier at any time while roaming the map; while active, demon symbols will not pursue the player, and deliberately bumping into enemy encounters will not initiate battle. The Magutsuhi gauge will drain when the Estoma Barrier is first summoned and each time the Moon Phase advances.
