Enoch is a demon in the series.
History[]
Enoch is the name of two biblical figures.
The first Enoch is a character in the Book of Genesis. He is described as a son of Cain, and father of Irad. After Cain arrived in the Land of Nod, to which he was evicted by the Lord as his punishment for murdering his brother Abel, his wife became pregnant and bore Cain's first child, whom he named Enoch.
The second Enoch is a biblical figure prior to Noah's flood and a descendant of Seth and great grandfather of Noah. He was the son of Jared and father of Methuselah. He was of the Antediluvian period in the Hebrew Bible. The text of the Book of Genesis says Enoch lived 365 years before he was taken by God. The text reads that Enoch "walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him", which is interpreted as Enoch's entering Heaven alive in some Jewish and Christian traditions. He was considered the author of the Book of Enoch and also called Enoch the scribe of judgment. He is also believed to become the Archangel Metatron.

Profile[]
Devil Children: Fire/Ice Book[]
Enoch is one of the highest ranked Angels in Tenkai with only Michael having equal authority to him. He commands his servant angels to war against the demon servants of Beelzebub and both sides begin to fight in the human world. After arriving in Tenkai and visiting the Light Palace, Akira finds Michael being attacked by several of Enoch's angels. Upon their defeat it is revealed that one of them is actually a demon disguised as an angel and many of his servants had been replaced with disguised demons. When Jin later goes to his home to confront him and save Lena, Enoch tells her to go on ahead as he'll deal with Jin. After defeating him it is revealed that Enoch is also a demon disguised as the angel, manipulating Enoch's servants along with replacing others with demons.
Later the real Enoch can be found in the ice world Niflheim, where he was turned into a statue by demons disguised as his brothers Sandalphon and Melchizedek. Upon freeing him in Hvergelmir, Jin is given the option of recruiting him. Enoch tends to talk in a rude tone while the fake one speaks more politely.
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children: Light & Dark[]
Enoch is the antagonist in the final episodes of the anime. Appearing before the human masses as a radiant being of light, he brainwashes the masses that gaze upon his form including Lena. He appears kind-hearted and speaks gently of how he'll save humans, but in reality he is cruel and vicious and enjoys human suffering of children. Although Akira and Jin believed they defeated him and freed Lena of his brainwashing, the last scenes of the episode reveal that he is still alive, manipulating a brainwashed Lena from the shadows.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner[]
One of the four new bosses included in the PSP Version of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner, Enoch can only be fought after beating the game once. Its design is based on the Latter Angel Type 2 form of Zeed in Soul Hackers.
