This article is about the ability. For more uses, see Endure (disambiguation). |
Endure (食いしばり, Kuishibari)? is an ability in the series.
Overview[]
Endure technically grants the user access to the skill of the same name without actually having it in their moveset, and thus will only work once if both are present, although this is not an issue in Persona 5 as it is impossible to give the skill to other party members without hacking.
Persona 4 / Golden[]
Endure is a Social Link ability party members are able to learn. If active, there is a chance the user will be able to withstand a fatal attack with 1 HP remaining.
In Persona 4, members of the Investigation Team unlock this ability at Rank 9 of their Social Link, and at Rank 7 in Persona 4 Golden.
Persona 5 / Royal[]
Endure is a Confidant ability party members are able to learn. If active, the user will withstand a fatal attack with 1 HP remaining once per battle. This includes instant death and Multi-hit attacks, but does not prevent the user from succumbing to death due to Despair, and events with higher priority, such as being killed while held hostage. The ability also protects the user from reflected damage, but in Royal, due to a glitch, reflected damage can occasionally ignore it (and other Enduring effects) and kill the user.
Most party members unlock this ability at Rank 8 of their Confidant, with the exception of Goro Akechi, who cannot learn it in Persona 5, but can access it in Persona 5 Royal at Rank 10.
This topic is in need of research for the following reason: * Does the glitch exist in P5? This can be discussed on the article's talk page. |
