Empusa as she appears in Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE
Empusa or Hoshigari, in the JP version, (エンプーサ, Enpuusa), is a recurring demon in the Shin Megami Tensei series. She is part donkey and cat and can be seen preening like a cat in her idle animation.
History
In ancient Greek mythology, the Empusa (or Empousa) was a female supernatural monster or demoness. Hecate sent Empusa to harass travelers. It scared to death or ate anybody that travelled along the paths or roads it inhabited. The Empusae are sometimes described as having donkey-like features. They were believed to usually appear with one leg of brass and the other of a donkey. (Aristoph Ran. 294, Eccles. 1094.) Whenever a traveller addressed the Empusa with insulting words, it would flee and utter a shrill sound.

Empusas serves as the first boss encounter of the game along with two Apep. All three can easily be one-shotted using the Earth Rise Fusion Spell.

"A vampire of Greek myth, known to serve the goddess Hecate. She appears as a beautiful woman, but her true form is an evil spirit that drains men`s energy. They feed on human flesh."
Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE
Empusa can be fused from a Fallen Angel Andras and a Beast Inugami, or a Elemental Erthys and a Nocturnus Lilim. Empusae can also be found in Ichigaya roaming in packs, and are highly aggressive. She is a melee/mage hybrid and her growth rate is Hagalaz (strength and magic). She absorbs charge attacks and is immune to sleep and charm. Her weakness is lightning and penetration based guns.
