Dark Summoners (ダークサマナー, Daaku Samanaa)^? are Devil Summoners who appear in the Devil Summoner series. A Dark Summoner is mentioned as being a Summoner using his talents for profit and self-serving purposes rather than the good of the people.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner[]

Two of the game's antagonists, Sid Davis and Takashi, are Dark Summoners.

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers[]

There are numerous Dark Summoners in the game, all serving the Phantom Society. They are Finnegan, Mayōne, and Carol J. The former and the latter soon quit the Phantom Society.

Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army[]

Rasputin and Raidou Kuzunoha the XL, two of the game's antagonists, appear in the game. Both are referred to as Tera-level summoners, and Rasputin is later revealed to be an android Summoner when confronted at the Catholic Church, sent from the future to change the unfolding events, indicating even artificial lifeforms could serve as Summoners.

Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon[]

Rasputin returns as the game's single Dark Summoner, posting the Case File Missing a Few Screws, and optionally helping in the development of the main case.

Soul Hackers 2[]

R.S. and others are Dark Summoners.
