DOGDAYS is a short story within the Digital Devil Saga series. It was written by Yu Godai and published in Fujimi Shobo's Fantasia Battle Royal Autumn 2004 Edition. It was also published on Godai's website and in Quantum Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner -Extra Files-, along with another short story by Godai called One Day, One Afternoon, which serves as a prequel to the Quantum Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner series of novels.
Set after the defeat of the Vanguards, it begins by focusing on a girl from the Casuals (キャジュアルズ, Kyajuaruzu)? tribe under them called Zaada (ザーダ*)?. The focus is quickly shifted from Zaada to Serph and the Embryon. It draws elements from both Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner and Quantum Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, fitting comfortably in neither continuity.
