Appearances[]
Profile[]
Megami Ibunroku Persona[]
The Dimension Variable Accelerator System was a machine designed to create a special space allowing for the matter within it to shift into special forms. SEBEC's head, Takahisa Kandori, tries to use the reality-altering machine in a bid for godhood. For unknown reasons, the machine linked itself to Maki Sonomura's mind and made real her imaginary version of Mikage-cho. The machine was able to instantly seal half the city in an impenetrable bubble and summoned hundreds of demons doing the bidding of Takahisa and Maki's malevolent id, Aki. After gaining full control of this "other" Mikage-cho and acquiring godhood, Kandori creates his castle Deva Yuga in the real world, where the DEVA system is relocated. After Kandori's death and the "Ideal Maki"'s fall into despair, the DEVA System's core unit disappears, causing the system to fail. At the end of the game, it is revealed that the core unit was taken by Pandora, who planned to use it to destroy everything.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment[]
The teleporter found in Ameno Torifune, known as Petit Deva, was built by the New World Order using the DEVA System technology. It allows the party to return to Sumaru City any time they want.
Trivia[]
- Despite being credited in the English version as the DEVA System, the Japanese version of the game and the manga (save one instance in volume 7), romanizes the system's name as DVA.
