Crossroads of Fate: Castle Arc is the first Crossroads of Fate event.
Before Takeyuki Kiuchi's change of heart, the Phantom Thieves entered the Metaverse, but instead of Mementos they ended up in a mysterious castle due to the Meta Nav malfunctioning. After entering, they met two persona users named Skull and Mona, who were being attacked by shadows. Wonder saved them, and the group learned that Skull and Mona belonged to a different group of Phantom Thieves. The teams decided to work together to steal the palace's "core" so they could escape. In the underground prison they found another member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Panther, who had been imprisoned. After freeing Panther, Wonder's group was filled in on the castle's origin, it belonged to a corrupt man named Suguru Kamoshida yet strangely that cognitive beings connected to Kiuchi had appeared in the palace. The two groups were then ambushed by shadows and overwhelmed by their power, but were saved by the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Joker. After recovering all their members, the two groups confronted the palace's ruler, Raga, and stole the "core," causing the palace to collapse. Following farewells, both groups returned to the real world but lost their memories of the event, with only the palace's treasure remaining.
