The protagonist automatically starts Ryuji's Confidant on April 12th, after exiting Kamoshida's Palace for the second time. He can be found during the day near the stairway by the protagonist's classroom on the second floor of Shujin Academy. During days off, Ryuji can be found in the arcade on Central Street, Shibuya.
Completing Ryuji's Confidant enables the fusion of Chi You. He also gives the protagonist a Sports Watch on 3/19, which unlocks Harisen Recovery and Stealth Dash once the protagonist establishes Ryuji's Confidant in New Game Plus.
