In Ronde a Conductor ( コンダクター , Kondakutaa)? is someone that is able to use a conductor item to make contracts with demons.

Only conductor characters and demons have MP. Conductors must have a conductor item equipped which allows them to make contracts with specific races of demons. Every Conductor has their own item. When contracted with a demon, the character can use one spell from the demon they contracted, and it eventually becomes possible to contract more. They can also summon the demon to do a one-off attack.
When a demon's loyalty is high enough they can then move on to become a "UNIT", using magnetite, but now able to move, act, and equip weapons and armor just like any human character (although, unlike a human character, the game will not end when they die).
